ITC ThinkDrive is an Australian teacher-resource platform. In four months of focused SEO — content architecture, on-page optimization, technical clean-up, and topical authority — we moved 25 of 25 tracked target keywords into Google position #1, covering roughly 3,640 in combined monthly search volume.

  • Low domain authority competing against established Australian education publishers and government resources.
  • Thin, generic pages that weren't matching real teacher search intent for tools like lesson planners and rubric builders.
  • No topical clustering — pages were floating individually with no internal linking structure to build authority.

Keyword & intent mapping

Rebuilt the keyword map around what Australian teachers actually search for — tool queries, syllabus-specific terms (cognitive verbs, HASS, general capabilities), and AI-in-classroom queries. Prioritised commercial + informational hybrid queries that lead to sign-ups.

02Step

Content architecture (hub & spoke)

Grouped pages into topical hubs (AI teaching tools, curriculum resources, assessment tools) with clear pillar → cluster internal linking. Each spoke targets one primary keyword + 3–5 semantic variants.

03Step

On-page + AI-search optimization

Rewrote titles, H1s, and intros for a single primary intent per page. Added FAQ, HowTo and Speakable schema so pages are quotable inside Google AI Overviews and voice results.

04Step

Technical + Core Web Vitals

Fixed crawlability issues, cleaned up redirects, compressed hero assets, and pushed LCP under 2.5s on mobile — removing the technical drag that was suppressing rankings.

05Step

Ongoing rank + intent monitoring

Weekly SERP tracking on the 25 target keywords, plus SERP-feature monitoring (People Also Ask, AI Overviews, featured snippets) so we could rewrite the moment intent shifted.
